One of them (Walter Kraemer) some time teaching in China, where professors get 3-6 times more assistants. Even more significant was the difference in real incomes in the former Soviet Union. There's a party functionary medium scale only in cash (ie excluding cottages, company car, holiday at public expense) received 50 times more workers on the assembly line (in Western countries, it receives an average of 4-6 times more).
