Michael Nyqvist is one of Sweden's best loved actors. In this memoir, Nyqvist details his life from the time of his adoption as a baby to tracking down his biological parents at age 30, discovering to his surprise that his mother was Swedish and his father Italian. He played ice hockey in winter, football in summer, and at 17 was an exchange student in Omaha, Nebraska. Next came a fleeting attempt to study ballet, but he soon found out it was not his calling and dropped out. At age 19, he was accepted to the Swedish Academic School of Drama, and after working in theatre for many years, became a huge success in Swedish cinema in 2000. Michael has played various roles: a grieving husband and father, an ambassador, a musician in As it is in Heaven and journalist Mikhael Blomkvist in the Millennium Trilogy.
